Aralia nudicaulis. Use the bark of the rhizomes. It doesn’t have any particular flavor advantage over the Indian sarsaparilla commonly available in homebrew shops, so unless you happen to live in a forest where it’s super abundant, as I do, I’d say leave it alone.
